Central Pulse – St Kilda Saints Cross Code Challenge

24 Mar, 2014

The St Kilda Saints visited the Central Pulse netball team as part of their AFL Community Camp in February.

The teams took part in a cross code challenge, with elite athletes from both teams sharing tips and advice.

Both teams have enjoyed strong starts to their respective seasons.

The Central Pulse have toppled two strong New Zealand teams, and came within a point of knocking off the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the first round.

The St Kilda Saints have started their season with a win over the Melbourne Demons, running out to a 10.8:68 – 6.15:51 win.

The Central Pulse and the St Kilda Saints will meet again on ANZAC Weekend. The Saints will take on the Brisbane Lions on the 25th of April at Westpac Stadium in Wellington. The following evening the Pulse will play the Melbourne Vixens at the TSB Bank Arena.

Pulse captain Katrina Grant was involved with the 2013 ANZAC Day match, playing AFL 9s at half time alongside other local sporting celebrities, including Sophie Devine of the White Ferns and Andrew Durante of the Wellington Phoenix.
