The Saints still sit atop the AFL New Zealand Premiership Ladder on sixteen points followed closely by the Suns on twelve. Jordan Drinkall from the Northern Suns still leads the way as the competitions leading goal kicker on twelve goals and has a five goal buffer over Saints players Carlos Donnell-Brown and Sam McKenzie.

The Suns continue to be the best attacking side in the competition as they almost average 100 points per game. The best defensive team is the Southern Saints. After four games, the Saints have only conceded 109 points averaging 27.25 points per game.
