Crows hard men back for 2019
01 Nov, 2018
Ryan White and Luke Dunning will return to play for the Western Crows in the 2019 AFL New Zealand Premiership after both players were retained.
The pair were retained under Category 3 of the Retained Players List (RPL) and join remaining Auckland players Jacob Tucker, Josh Copeland and Alastair Maisey.
RPL 3 is the Retention of Auckland based players. (Up to 5 players retained).
Now in his fifth year playing AFL, former Howick Hornets Captain Ryan White is a former defender who now plays in the midfield.
Playing in his debut season in 2018, White was a consistent standout player for the Crows as they pushed for the Premiership and was awarded the sides Best and Fairest at the end of the season.
His strong leadership qualities and knowledge of the game makes him an asset to the Crows and will only be better in 2019.
19 year old Luke Dunning from Auckland’s North Shore has been retained by the Western Crows for the 2019 AFL New Zealand Premiership.
Luke has been a regular in the U18 New Zealand side over the past three years and has now been at the Crows for three seasons.
The strapping defender is hard at the contest and provides stability in the backline.
Always developing his game, Luke will be a name to watch in 2019.
