Tatupu signs with VFL Club for 2019

04 Dec, 2018

Former New Zealand International Shem Tatupu has signed with the Frankston Dolphins in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for 2019.

Back in August this year, Shem announced that he has set his sights on making the 2020 International Cup and having signed with the VFL club for 2019, Shem will be on the right pathway for higher honours.

With the announcement on Monday that the ANZAC clash between New Zealand and the AFL Academy will be played at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, we could be seeing Shem in the NZ guernsey as early as April next year.

His career saw him spend three years with Hawthorn FC on an International Scholarship, before taking up the opportunity to sign with the Melbourne Storm in the NRL in 2016.

An ankle injury plagued his professional sporting career and now back at full health, the 22 year old is determined to don the Silver Fern again.
