The New Zealand Kahu Youth Girls have extended their win streak to 6 games in a row as they overcame a gallant MPJFL Youth Girls side to win by 9 points in game 1 of their 2 match trans-tasman series.

The home side started strong and it wasn’t too long before Killarney Morey kicked their first goal of the game as the Kahu defence held the opposition scoreless for the first term.

Layni Stevenson had a good game playing off the half back flank for the visitors along with Jemma Lewis in the midfield.

Kahu debutant Maddison Moffat impressed in her first game along with Alice Roy (pictured above).

Kahu Jaimee Wyatt, who was named 2019 Female Player of the Year at the High Performance Awards Jaimee Wyatt was best on ground for the home side. Starting the game in the forward line, Wyatt moved into the midfield in the final quarter and dominated around the contest and moving the ball forward.
