Giants lock in Burnett and Bennetts for 2020

The Central Giants have retained Tristan Burnett and Elliot Bennetts for the 2020 Premiership season.

 

The trio were retained under Category 3 of the Retained Players List (RPL).

RPL 3 is the Retention of Auckland based players.

 

Tristan Burnett

The Central Giants will have the services of tough midfielder Tristan Burnett for the 2020 Premiership season.

Burnett has been a key member of the Giants over the past four seasons playing a pivotal role in the midfield.

The 30 year old plays for the the Mt Roskill Saints in the Auckland AFL where he lines up alongside Giants Captain Samuel McKenzie.

 

Elliot Bennetts

Howick Hornets (Auckland AFL) star Elliot Bennetts has been retained by the Giants for the first time in his Premiership career.

The small forward had a consistent 2019 season featuring multiple times in the team of the week.

His development within the Premiership has helped better his game and has shown this starring week in, week out for the Hornets in the Auckland AFL.
