The Suns nab Considine and Mayes for 2020

The Northern Suns have announced that they have retained Key forward James Considine and hard running midfielder Liam Mayes for the 2020 AFL New Zealand Premiership. 

 

The pair were retained under Category 3 of the Retained Players List (RPL).

RPL 3 is the Retention of Auckland based players.

 

James Considine 

Goal kicking machine James Considine has been retained by the Northern Suns for the 2020 Premiership.

The key forward kicked 15 goals last season and finished third in the goal kicking tally.

James plays for the University Blues in Auckland AFL and will link up with fellow Uni teammates Ben Hick and Liam Beattie at the Suns.

 

Liam Mayes

2019 Premiership debutant Liam Mayes will remain at the Suns in 2020.

Mayes plays for the North Shore Tigers in the Auckland AFL and strongly develops his game every week.

After his strong season for the Suns in 2019, Liam was named in the NZ U18 squad to travel to Melbourne in May this year.
