New Zealand Hawks Seniors 

The New Zealand Hawks Seniors represents AFL New Zealand as its premier team and plays against a selection of touring Australian teams as well participating in the International Cup every three years.

The New Zealand Hawks were last winners of the International Cup in 2005 defeating Papua New Guinea in the grand final played at the MCG in front of 30,000 people.

Is open to all male players currently playing in the AFLNZ Premiership or with a club in Australia. The New Zealand Hawks next fixture is the NAB AFL Academy played on 24th April 2017 at Westpac Stadium, Wellington. Players selected for this campaign will be focusing on securing their position for the next International Cup in Melbourne, August 2017.

New Zealand Hawks U18

Is for players born 1998 and 1999 currently playing AFLNZ Youth Boys Competition and AFLNZ Premiership. These players will be looking to take the next step through their U18 experience targeting the New Zealand Hawks Seniors 2018. Those selected in the New Zealand Hawks U18 will tour to Victoria hosted by AFL South East Victorian clubs playing local team in  May 2017.

New Zealand Hawks Academy Level 2 

Is for players continuing their New Zealand representative pathway with their next step U18 New Zealand Hawks or Senior New Zealand Hawks. Players of the AFLNZ Youth Boys programme born years 2000 and 2001 are eligible for selection in the New Zealand Hawks Academy Level 2 squad. With a two match series campaign against AFL South East Victoria, 21st – 24th April 2017 at Hutt Park, Wellington.

New Zealand Hawks Academy Level 1 

Is for players that are new entrants to New Zealand representative pathway. Players of the AFLNZ Youth Boys programme born year 2002 and younger are eligible for selection in the New Zealand Hawks Academy Level 1 squad. With a two match series against New South Wales Independent Schools, 21st – 24th April 2017 at Hutt Park, Wellington.
