The Team of the week for Round 5 of the 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership has been announced.
This weeks team features a number of debutants with George Read (Central Giants) and Jamie Exeter (Northern Suns) having impressive games in defence for their respective sides. The ever reliable Northern Suns Captain James Kusel makes his second appearance in as many weeks and Saints best on ground Andriu Sucu continues to inspire in his role at fullback.
In the midfield, Saints Ruckman Tyler Paull had his best game of the season while Khyal Jacobson makes his second appearance after a fantastic game for the Central Giants. The Northern Suns duo of Misilifi Faimalo and Will Dickinson show why the Suns are the team to beat this season after another dominating performance.
Round 2 rising star Seb Serrano (Southern Saints) secures a spot in the forward line while Central Giants forward Tristan Burnett returned from injury and performed well up front. Two goals from Matt Mayne (Central Giants) and Steph Tabaillou (Western Crows) round out the team for this week.
