The Team of the week for Round 7 of the 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership has been announced.
This weeks backline features a couple of debutants in Tom Hayhoe and Tim Hollingsworth from the Southern Saints. Both players had a strong game against the Central Giants and are joined by Matt Kemp from the Western Crows while Suns Captain James Kusel makes the side for the fourth week in a row.
The midfield has a good mix of height, speed and skill with big Tom Bekkers (Saints) and Mitch Ryan (Suns) on rucking duty while Will Dickinson, Shane Leat, Charles Barnes and Central Giants Captain Dave Rattenbury make a very handy midfield line.
Jordan Drinkall (Suns) and Sam Mckenzie (Saints) headline the forward line this week. The pair kicked nine goals in total and are the competitions leading goal kickers. Otago based Logan Toomer (Giants) returns to the side while the ever consistent Steph Tabaillou (Crows) slots into the forward pocket.
