The Team of the week for Round 8 of the 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership has been announced.
The penultimate Team of the week features defender Harison Manks from the Southern Saints. Harison has been a revelation in season 2017 and played well in defence where he limited Jordan Drinkall (Suns) to only two goals over the weekend. Steve Howard makes his debut after a inspiring game in defence for the Crows and Giants defenders Liam McMaster with George Read also performing well to earn their spot.
The midfield consists of three best on ground players over the weekend. Blake Nahu (Giants), Seb Serrano (Saints) and Ruckman Ty Smith (Crows) all had outstanding games and are joined by Will Dickinson (Suns), Troy Brown (Saints) and Craig Morgan from the Giants.
Four goals each from Chris Mundell (Crows) and Logan Toomer (Giants) see them earn their spot in the forward line and are joined by the Saints pairing of Sam McKenzie and Jordan Thompson who kicked three goals each in their victory over the Suns.
