The Western Crows have locked in Auckland players, Alastair Maisey, Ronan Morling and Luke Dunning for the 2022 Men’s Premiership season.
Alastair Maisey will be coming into his seventh season with the Crows, and joins Shane Leat as the only two players to have played for the side since the competitions inception.
The swingman of New Zealand footy, Maisey’s attack on the footy and strong hands make him a key target in the forward line.
Alastair can also play a key role in the backline with his strong physical presence and ability to take intercept marks over the opposition.
Ronan Morling is already a star, but the good news is that he can still get better. A rising star recipient in 2020, Morling plays for the Manurewa Raiders in the Auckland AFL has is one of the best skilled footballers in the country.
The 19 year old has been involved in the AFL New Zealand High Performance programme for a number of years after first being introduced to the sport playing for Rosehill College in the AFL Secondary Schools Cup.
Ronan is a fast paced winger who reads the game well and with more time to develop his game, Ronan can set his sights on making the International Cup squad in 2023.
Former U18 New Zealand Falcons player Luke Dunning is as hard as nails and will bring that intensity to the Crows set up in 2022.
From Auckland’s North Shore, Luke is a strapping defender is hard at the contest and provides stability in the backline.
