Southern Saints retain Mcauley, Donnell-Brown and Thompson

The Southern Saints have retained Keegan Mcauley, Nico Donnell-Brown and Jordan Thompson to add to their retained players for the 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership.

 

Keegan Mcauley

keegan-mcauley-200x400The Southern Saints have retained the services of Aucklander Keegan Mcauley for the 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership.

Mcauley was a class performer during this year’s competition and featured multiple times in the ‘Team of the Week’ and boasts professionalism and maturity when on the footy field.

Keegan plays for the North Shore Tigers in the Auckland local competition where his development continues as he prepares for the return of the Premier competition in February 2017.

 

Nico Donnell-Brown

nico-donnell-brown-200x400Aucklander Nico Donnell-Brown will be a Southern Saint in 2017.

The hard running roving forward was retained by the Premiership side for his slick skills and fast pace and will be a key player for coach Warwick Kain and the Saints forward line.

Nico will once again suit up with his brother and Waitakere Magpies team mate Carlos as the pair look to win the competition for the first time.

 

 

 

Jordan Thompson

jordan-thompson-200x400Defender Jordan Thompson has been retained by the Southern Saints.

Thompson is a strong defender who ensures his opponents work hard for their possessions and with more experience under his belt, he will be one to watch for in 2017.

Thompson has been one of the leaders for his local Manurewa Raiders this season and will bring with him those leadership skills into the new Premiership season.
