The Western Crows have qualified for the Grand Final after kicking 15 Goals to beat the Southern Saints by 42
The Western Crows were first on the board, but the Saints would not let them hold the lead for long answering back shortly after. The two sides remained tightly contested with the Crows holding a 7 point lead at the end of the quarter and it looked like we were going to bin for another thriller.
The Crows put the pressure on in the second quarter, kicking goals on four of their five scoring shots to take a strong lead. The defensive pressure put on by the Crows forced many behinds for the Saints leaving them with only 6 behinds for the quarter, leaving the Crows up by 26 heading into the break
The Crows ball movement around the ground was improving through the game, allowing their midfielders and forwards get into open space and into a good position to take shots on goal. key midfielder Will Dickinson and Full Forward Alex Fakatoumafi took full advantage of this with the pair kicking five goals each throughout the game. The Crows Accuracy from in front of goal kept the scoreboard pressure mounting. The Saints were still in the fight though and the game was still a back and forward contest, however the Saints were unable to fully capatilise on all their scoring opportunities, leaving them behind by 37 heading into the final quarter.
The Saints came out firing at the start of the fourth and they put the pressure on early. Putting points on the board and looking like they were going to mount a comeback. However this was not to be. The calm experienced heads of the Crows took over and slowed down the tempo of the game so they could reset before mounting an attack of their own, kicking another four goals to win the game by 42
Will Dickinson is one of the best midfielders in the country. His level of fitness and pace let him run hard all game. He played a pivotal role in working the ball up the ground and kicked five goals in the game.
The Support Crew
Alex Fakatoumafi is showing he can still be a goal kicking machine up front, kicking 5 goals in the game. Tom Hayhoe and James Ellison also played a vital role in the backline to keep the pressure on the Saints forwards and provide clean exits from the Crows defensive end.

Dan Laracy played a great game. The young forward attacked the ball hard and won the ball in multiple contests around the ground, feeding the ball well to his fellow teammates
