The Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs have claimed the 2022 Wellington AFL Minor Premiership title, going undefeated in a shortened season. The Bulldogs have continued their vein of powerful performances.
The Bulldogs were pushed early on in the season by the Hutt Valley Eagles, but since then, they have gone on to dominate the competition, pulling off some big wins against the Wellington City Saints and the North City Demons.
Hutt Valley Eagles have proved themselves as battlers of the 2022 season, never quite managing to break away from their opposition but securing narrow victories throughout the year. The only team to come close to beating the Bulldogs.
Australian newcomer Josh Rose and returning Bulldog Tyson Sholl have been outstanding for the Bulldogs this season. Josh has brought a lot of experience to the side and Tyson is expected to lead the goal scoring for the Eastern Bulldogs in just his second year with the club.
The Grand Final this weekend sees the Bulldogs face off against a tough Hutt Valley Eagles side. The Bulldogs have Grand Final Experience on their side, winning 11 of the last 14 Grand Finals.
Can the Bulldogs finish on a high, or will the Eagles swoop in and take the win?
