Mount Roskill Saint’s , Mitch Weir has been added to the Central Giants leadership group for the 2023 season. Weir will join New Plymouth based Tristan Burnett and Giants Captain, University Blues Harison Manks, take the reins under the guidance of New Zealand Falcons Coaching staff member, Rob Malone.
The Club has significant challenges in dealing with a squad split over two regions with a further 10 players based in Wellington. Weir’s appointment will assist the Giants in building a culture that can overcome these logistical challenges.
The Giants coaching staff has also received good news with the inclusion of Wellington based Peter Geale as Assistant Coach. The young Wellington squad will benefit from Peters inclusion in the Giants line up.
