Former Central Giants player Xavier Rice, will play for the Northern Suns in the 2023 Premiership
Rice had a strong start to the season in 2021 and led the Best and Fairest count after 4 rounds. A broken thumb saw him miss the back end of the season but was still involved in an off field capacity.
Looking ahead to next season, the 26 year old will be looking to make a bigger impact on the field as he aims to be selected for national honours for the first time.
Changes in recruitment will suit a new training hub location at Sunnynook Park on Auckland’s North Shore will be of great benefit to the teams fortunes in 2023.
