2018 Golden Boot winner James McKenzie wrapped up the award in style kicking 5 goals in his final game to finish the season on 31 goals. A hot favourite to win the Golden Boot at the start of the season, James averaged over three goals per game and is a deserved winner.

Southern Saints forward Alex Fakatoumafi made a late charge, kicking 10 goals in his game against the Crows to finish in second place on 22 goals. It was a tie for third with James Bowden (Central Giants) and Zac Maio (Western Crows) with 16 goals.

The Giants took out the best attacking and defending team in the competition showing their dominance over the ground all season.
