Please be advised of the following details for the AFL New Zealand AGM
Date: Sunday 14th March 2021
Venue: North Harbour Stadium, Stadium Drive, Albany.
Time: 10.00am
Elected Director Process
The Board is now calling for nominations for the following position.
One Elected Director (Up to a three year term).
The AFL New Zealand Board is responsible for overseeing the promotion, fostering and development of the sport of Australian Football in New Zealand and to provide Australian Football opportunities for all within NZ as described in the society’s current strategic and operational plan.
Interested persons must be nominated by a club in writing firstly and then submit a brief profile via email with resume to the address listed below by 5pm Friday 12th of February 2021.
As outlined in clause 7 of the AFL New Zealand Constitution and Rules, a list of nominees for the position under Rule 6.1 (a) [Elected Directors] together with a summary of their curriculum vitae will be forwarded on the 26th of February 2021 to all members.
Nominations are to be received in writing within the specified time and in the form prescribed by the Board of Directors.
Mr Andrew McKenzie retires in accordance with the above Rule and will need to seek re-election. The election of the vacant Directorship will take place at the AGM by way of vote (secret ballot).
Please note that members must have met their governance and financial commitments to be entitled to vote.
Business of Meeting
Please be advised that any remits / motions to be considered at the AGM must be submitted in writing to the Chief Executive Officer no later than 5pm Friday 12th of February 2021.
Life Membership
Please be advised that any Life memberships to be considered at the AGM must be submitted in writing to the Chief Executive Officer no later than 5pm Friday 12th of February 2021.
A list of remits and motions will be forwarded to all members along with a copy of the AGM agenda , a copy of the Annual Report, a copy the audited financial accounts and Proxy voting forms on the 26th of February 2021 to all members.
