Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the CEO of AFL New Zealand.
Position Overview: Picture this – a fixed-term 6-month contract that puts you at the forefront of AFL growth in New Zealand! As the Game Development Officer, you’re the driving force behind creating more opportunities for Kiwis to jump into the action and love the sport.
Responsibilities:
- School Engagement: Bring the excitement of AFL to schools across Auckland with our AFLNZ School Programs.
- Programme Coordination: Assist in running evening and weekend programs.
- Event Support: Dive into the action by assisting in organising AFLNZ events, including the epic NZ representative games.
- Administrative Support: Help out behind the scenes – support AFLNZ staff with administrative and logistical tasks.
Duties Variation: Expect a dynamic role where duties and reporting structures may change as needed by AFL New Zealand.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Sports Management or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership and high-level communication skills with a proven ability to build effective cooperative working relationships.
- Proven relationship management experience.
- Proficiency in personal computers, including Microsoft Office.
- Driver’s license (Restricted or higher).
- NO AFL experience is required.
Working Hours:
- 40 hours per week.
- Evenings and weekends; working hours for each week will be communicated in advance.
