Each week throughout the 2019 Premiership season, AFL New Zealand will announce the ‘Team of the week’ which will feature the 24 best players from the previous weekends round.
The Round 3 Premiership Team of the week features a raft of experienced players from all four sides.
James McKenzie (Giants) and James Considine (Suns) headline the forwards after both players finished with 7 goals each. James Southby (Saints) continues his good form as he makes his appearance for the second time this season and they are backed up by, Steph Tabaillou (Giants), Te Kopa Tipene-Thomas (Crows) and Alex Fakatoumafi from the Saints.
Down back, Michael Boyce and Jalan Farris from the Saints both had strong games along with Crows defender Alastair Maisey.
The midfield is full of height as Josh Allen (Suns), Travis Walker (Saints) and Ty Smith all make the side this week.
