The Western Crows will head into the 2021 season with high hopes of becoming the first Premiership side to win 3 titles.
Finishing second in 2020, the Crows boast a strong squad in 2021 and have picked up NZ Falcon midfielder, Will Dickinson who will add depth in that area.
Player to watch: Jonah Christians
Jonah Christians has been involved with the AFL New Zealand pathway for the past 4 years, playing in the Youth competition, Academy and representing NZ at age group level.
Jonah’s fitness and game awareness are his strong attributes and has recently returned home after a year playing the sport in Melbourne.
Originally from Wellington, Christians was picked up by the Northern Suns during the 2018 National Draft and had a strong 2019 season at the top level.
Get Excited: Ronan Morling
Ronan was named the rising star in round 4 of last season and is fastly becoming one of the best skilled footballers in the country.
Ronan has been involved in the AFL New Zealand High Performance programme for a number of years after first being introduced to the sport playing for Rosehill College in the AFL Secondary Schools Cup.
The 18 year old from South Auckland plays for the Manurewa Raiders in the Auckland AFL and was drafted by the Western Crows during the 2019 National Draft.
Ronan is a fast paced winger who reads the game well and with more time to develop his game, Ronan can set his sights on making the International Cup squad in 2023.
