After 24 rounds of the home and away season and 3 rounds of finals footy, we have our top two teams ready to square off for chance to win a premiership title. The Collingwood Magpies and Brisbane Lions will face off this Saturday in what is set to be a huge Grand Final Weekend.
After an outstanding season from Collingwood, they finished on top of the ladder, and looked like clear favorites heading into the finals, but their Preliminary Finals showed that even at full strength they could be beaten, with the GWS Giants taking Collingwood all the way to the final siren with only 1 point separating the two sides.
Brisbane has also had a strong season, finishing second on the ladder and beating Collingwood twice during the home and away season. They also proved they have the grit and determination to go all the way after coming back from a 30 point deficit in the Preliminary Final. Brisbane also has the extra motivation to pull off a Grand Final win, with the chance to win their first premiership since 2003 and the chance for the city of Brisbane to win historic Dual Premierships with the Brisbane Broncos also making the NRL Grand Final.
