AAFL: Hornets welcome old rival

The Howick Hornets are welcoming Steph Tabaillou to the clubs family for the 2018 Auckland AFL season.

Steph who had previously played for the Universtiy Blues has transferred to the Howick Hornets 2018 season.

Steph will now don the Blue & Yellow jumper along side his younger brother Oli Tabaillou (the 2017 Young Gun award winner) after playing against each other in the previous season. He brings with him vast experience of over 6 years in the AAFL for University, played for Auckland Buccaneers for over 3 years and played in the AFLNZ Premiership for the Western Crows for the last 2 years along side our Hornets Captain.

Steph is a natural ball runner which will help bolster the half back line & midfield providing a new avenue to getting the ball to the forward. He showed how effective the running of the ball wall for the Crows; clearing out of the backline and gaining forward momentum for the team.

The Hornets looking forward to Steph playing for them and are excited for the upcoming season.
