At the conclusion of a very successful AFL New Zealand Academy National League in Auckland, the final travelling team for the Academy New Zealand Hawks tour to Sydney were selected.
The New Zealand Hawks will travel over to Sydney on Thursday 19th March and return back to New Zealand on Sunday 22nd March. Over the 4 days the team will play games against an NSW Independent All Star Team and finish off the campaign with a game against the Sydney Swans Academy who are coached by former AFL great Michael O’Loughlin.
Academy New Zealand Hawks Head Coach Shannon Wall is excited about the fact that the squad has been exposed to a lot of AFL Football through the AFL New Zealand Academy over the past 2 months and is looking forward to implementing a solid structure that the team can focus on.
