The Australian Youth Girls and the U-18 Victorian Amateur Football Association teams will soon arrive in New Zealand for what is set to be a magnificent tour. AFL New Zealand warmly welcomes the teams, and wish them the best of luck for the matches.
The U-18 New Zealand Kahus will be making their debut against the Australian Youth Girls, in the AFL International Youth Girls Cup. This will be an ambassadorial series designed to build on the strong existing partnership between the two nations. The two female teams will play a three match series, in what is sure to be a hard fought competition played in good spirits.
The Victorian Amateur Football Association have sent teams in previous years to tour New Zealand, and will again contest the Challenge Cup. VAFA have a strong record in New Zealand, however with the increasing strength of the AFL New Zealand High Performance programme, they are sure to encounter a tough challenge.
