North Shore Tigers Troy Brown has been confirmed in the leadership group for the All Stars as they prepare for their clash against the New Zealand Falcons at North Harbour Stadium on September 25th.
Brown, 26, has spent over half his life in New Zealand since moving from Australia in his youth. Six seasons in the AFL New Zealand Premiership, Grand Final victories with the Southern Saints and the Central Giants and two Grand Final flags with Auckland Club, the North Shore Tigers, Brown is entrenched in the New Zealand system but opportunities to play at the next level have been limited.
Selection for a representative match for the Premiership selection against the travelling Red Backs team in March 2020 was a highlight. International Cup selection has not been possible due to tough restrictions on those with Australian up bringing and so the All Stars is a welcomed step up.
“I’m really happy to take on the role of vice captain for the All Stars and this jumper will be heading straight to the pool room”
Brown will join a leadership team that consists of Co Captains Mount Roskill’s Tristan Burnett and fellow North Shore Tiger Andriu Sucu.
