Cross Coder Manny Snooks agrees with Balance is Better.

Step back three years ago and Manny Snooks was on the receiving end of the AFL New Zealand Premiership Rising Star Award for strong efforts with the Northern Suns.

His Rugby League ties saw a combination of strength accompanied with the skills AFL had to offer. Six months later he was off to Australia and linking with the Canberra Raiders and the NRL.

Now home in Whangarei over the summer, Manny Snooks was recently named in Northland Rugby’s Development Team and is enjoying time with the Taniwha as well as being at home with family.

As 2021 approaches, decisions on which direction will be the next step in developing his football skills, are yet to be determined.

Depending on the timing of Manny’s return to Australia, the AFL New Zealand Premiership is hopeful of securing his services whilst he is in New Zealand early in 2021.

The AFL New Zealand National Draft takes place on next Tuesday night and a new supplement list will be provided to the four Premiership teams to enlist talent candidates who are easy currently injured or displaced  due to international Covid travel restrictions.

“If there is any way we can progress an individual’s sporting career, regardless of the path they choose, AFL New Zealand will look to provide benefits through the AFL New Zealand Premiership and the skill sets it helps develop for other sports” AFL New Zealand High Performance Manager Georgina Gatenby.
