In preparation for the 2023 AFL New Zealand Premiership season, the Western Crows will put a heavy reliance on an experienced defensive trio.
Kiko Hibbs, Luke Dunning and Al Maisey all have proven track records in defence and have the versatility to play in the midfield. Former Southern Saints defender, Hibbs, regularly found his way to the centre bounce whilst Maisey and Dunning will be looking to secure more time on ball as they help guide a new look Crows outfit.
No doubt, Crows coach Chris Mundell, will have an eye on the defensive traits of his on ballers as he looks to cover the significant loss of former captain Jay Johnson, to the Southern Saints.
