Crows swoop in on key players

The Western Crows have locked in 5 big names for the 2024 Premiership, including Te Kopa Tipene-Thomas, who won two premierships with the Crows before he made the move to the Giants in 2021.

The 26 year old former falcon will bring a huge boost to the Crows midfield. Te Kopa has racked up a number of accolades over the years, including U16 and U18 player of the year awards, on top of multiple Auckland AFL and Premiership titles. He was also a regular for the New Zealand Falcons playing in the International Cup in 2014 and 2017. His aerobic capacity and attacking prowess make him an absolute weapon in the midfield and will supplement an already strong midfield.

Experienced premiership campaigners, Nico Donnell-Brown and Alex Fakatoumafi have also been picked up by the Crows for the 2024 season. The pair will bring much needed calmness and experience to the Forward and Backlines.

The South City Raiders presence within the Crows has continued to grow, with August King and Vandyn Hartman both signing on for 2024. August is a powerful forward and has a massive boot on him, capable of easily kicking a goal outside of 50. Vandyn is also a fast, skillful player and is capable of slotting in wherever the Crows may need him.

The 2024 AFL New Zealand Premiership starts February 25th
