Playing in his debut Auckland AFL season, Kevin Crowe has set the 2017 competition alight. Originally from the United States of America but now residing in Auckland, Crowe is one of the toughest midfielders in the competition.
With a background in Rugby, Crowe’s strengths are his running game and breaking out from the contest. To add to his strengths, he is boasts a powerful and accurate kick in front of goal.
Now in his fifth year playing AFL, Howick Hornets skipper Ryan White is a former defender who now plays in the midfield.
His strong leadership qualities and knowledge of the game makes him an asset to the Hornets and will slot into any of the four Premiership teams with ease.
Position: Half Forward
Fast paced Elliot Bennetts is turning into a smart, agile small forward.
Previously a midfielder, Bennetts moved into the forward line in 2017 has become one of the best small forwards in the Auckland competition.
His burst of speed helps evade defenders and his ability to kick goals could see him suit the attacking style of the Northern Suns.
Position: Centre Half Back / Full Back
Tim Elsey is a very handy defender for the Howick Hornets.
In his sixth year playing the sport, Elsey has pace to burn and has the determination to get his hands on the footy.
