Giants snap us Sucu as their Wildcard

Brandon Sucu will return to the AFLNZ Premiership a Central Giant, after he was named as the side’s Wildcard pick for 2021.

In a new initiative introduced for next season, each of the four Premiership sides were able to draft a ‘Wildcard’ player to add to their retained list.

Brandon has been residing in Australia for the past 4 years and will return home with a heap of footy experience playing in Brisbane.

Sucu hails from Auckland’s North Shore and was named as the inaugarul AFL New Zealand Premiership Best and Fairest winner in 2016 where he was a standout for the his former club, the Southern Saints.

Brandon’s hard work and effort throughout the inaugural season saw him challenge every contest and never give up. His cool, calm demeanour saw Sucu look like he plays in slow motion yet he manages to evade tackles and his options for getting his team out of trouble were far superior to any other defensive player in the competition.

Brandon is a regular in the NZ Falcons lineup and can’t wait to get back home and challenge himself on the NZ footy field.
