Academy graduate Alex Kempt will debut for the Central Giants in the 2023 AFL New Zealand Premiership. The Wellington Saints player has a strong pedigree following on from former Premiership player older brother Will Kempt and father Wellington Representative stalwart Gregor Kempt.
Born in 2003, Alex will be aiming to put his best foot forward in the Premiership with a potential to progress through to All Stars selection in April 2023. The scheduled clash against the AFL New Zealand Falcons, will assist the Falcons coaching brains trust in uncovering a list of talented players who have missed representative opportunities over the past two Covid impacted years. The clash serves as preparation for the 2024 International Cup.
