Kahu Coaching Staff announced

The Coaching and Management Staff for the upcoming New Zealand Kahu Campaign in Australia in November has been announced, alongside additional regional coaches to assist with training in the leadup.

Andrew Cadzow is a well known AFL international identity, and has been a great contributor to the game in NZ. Currently based in the Sunshine Coast, Andrew is a level 3 certified coach and will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the first senior women’s national side. Andrew will also travel to New Zealand to oversee a session in each of the regions.

Andrew will be assisted by Wellington based Peter Geale, a long serving coach in the AFL New Zealand Women’s Premiership and the Youth Kahu side. Jess McCormick will also come on board as the team manager. Her organisational skills and experience as both a player and a manager in the regional leagues and Premiership, will make her a valuable asset for the side.

The Coaching crew will also be joined by Canterbury based Andrew Howison, and Auckland based Shane Leat, both are members of the NZ Falcons, and are beginning to start their journey into coaching. The Experienced players will act as regional based coaches to assist with training in the leadup to the November Campaign and will be able to not only impart their knowledge and experience but also help guide players through the transition into international footy.
