The North Melbourne Roos are running rampant in the opening two rounds of the AFLW, and two New Zealand Heritage are leading the way. Jasmine Garner and Tahlia Randall are having a stellar start to the new season.
Jasmine Garner is continuing her long standing dominance within the AFLW and is showing no signs of slowing down, winning the first clearance of the Roos opening game and within 20 seconds, booted a fine goal on the run from 45m. Her Classy performance throughout the first game dictated play as the Kangaroos charged to a comfortable 40-point opening round win over St Kilda.
Garner has continued this form into the second round where she guided the Roos to a massive 60 point win over Carlton. The two incredible performances has seen her been listed in the AFLW team of week for rounds on and two. She is once on track for another career best season, and there is no telling how high the ceiling is for this all star player.
Tahlia Randall is also having a Career best season up front for the Roos, currently tied for second on the AFLW leaderboard for leading goalkicker, with a whopping 6 goals across the first 2 rounds, coming off the back of a four goal performance against Carlton. Tahlia has started the season in hot form and her stats across the first two rounds of the new season are above and beyond her career averages.
