Auckland based University Blues star, Harison Manks, will return to the Central Giants as Vice Captain for the 2024 AFL New Zealand Premiership Season
Manks was a squad member of the Premiership winning Southern Saints in 2017 before moving to the Central Giants in 2018 where he won his second Premiership in as many years. Another win with the Giants early in 2021 and 2024, puts the key defender in a rare group that have achieved four AFL New Zealand Premierships.
The 26 year old is a smart defender and is a strong mark who often leads the statistics in this category. Manks made his debut for New Zealand during the ANZAC game against the AFL Academy in April 2017 and is expected to feature in the New Zealand Falcons vs All Stars match scheduled for April 23rd next year.
The Giants will look to continue their strong run as they go for the premierships first ever 3-peat
