New Director Appointed to AFL New Zealand Board

Andrew Sloman has accepted a role as an Appointed Director on the AFL New Zealand Board.

Andrew is currently an Audit and Assurance Partner at BDO, and will bring expertise in risk advisory services and governance to the role.

Born in Melbourne and now living in Auckland, Andrew Sloman is passionate about the sport of AFL, and in particular, the Richmond Tigers. He has previously served as a member of the Risk Committee at the club.

Andrew Sloman is looking forward to taking up his role.

AFL New Zealand C.E.O has welcomed the appointment of Andrew Sloman.

“As we continue to grow, we will need high calibre Directors who can contribute to our work. I have complete confidence that Andrew Sloman will make a strong contribution to the ongoing work of AFL New Zealand.”

The AFL New Zealand Board is made up of seven directors, four of whom are appointed and three of whom are elected.

Ben Davies, currently the General Manager of Commercial Projects at the St Kilda Football Club, is standing down as an appointed director, after holding the position since 2011. AFL New Zealand wishes to thank him for his service.
