New Zealand U18 wider squad announced

The Under 18 New Zealand wider squad has been announced to play the Port Adelaide Indigenous Academy on Sunday December 3rd at QBE Stadium on Auckland’s North Shore.

Included in the squad is a number of players who travelled to Melbourne earlier in the year along with a host of new players striving to represent New Zealand at national level for the first time.

The final squad of 20 players will be finalised and announced at the end of November.

The game will take place on Sunday, December 3rd and will be the first meeting between the two sides. The game will take place at QBE Stadium and entry is Free.

AFL New Zealand understand that the timing of this campaign will conflict with the Auckland AFL Grand final. AFL New Zealand has discussed with the Auckland AFL Club coaches that the priority will be the Grand Final over U18 New Zealand Representation.

Auckland AFL Grand Final teams will be announced in a timely fashion to ensure those not selected have the opportunity to represent the New Zealand Under 18 team.

Congratulations to all involved.
