The Northern Storm have announced that Andriu Sucu will be the head coach for the 2023 Women’s Premiership season.
Andriu Sucu commenced his journey with AFL in 2005 as a 15 year old for the North Shore Tigers in the Auckland AFL and has achieved a lot in his time with the sport. The 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership Player of the Year has represented New Zealand since 2008 and has won multiple Premierships at local and national level.
The current Auckland AFL President now has three young daughters, and has a strong interest in developing the Women’s game, ensuring that they will have the opportunities in AFL in years to come.
“It is great to see the Women’s game continuing to grow and am honoured to be given the opportunity and able to pass on my knowledge to the Storm squad in 2023.”
The Storm will kick off their Premiership campaign on February 26th, 2023.
