Head coach of the Premiership winning Central Shakers in 2023, Peter Geale will stay with the side in 2024. Peter has been involved with AFL in New Zealand for a decade and has coached at every level of the game in New Zealand.
From Wellington, Peter is a former player with local team, the North City Demons, and assisted with coaching at both local level and the management of regional youth programmes. Geale has spent several years in coaching roles with the AFLNZ Academy Level 1, as well as his involvement with the New Zealand Kahu Youth Girls for several years.
The growth and development of Women’s AFL and the move to start regionalising the Women’s Premiership teams means that Peter will have a large base of players from Wellington to work with as he looks to take the Shakers to back to back titles.
