The Southern Saints have announced that they will add regionally based New Zealand representative player Josh Morgan-Ranui to their retained players list for the 2018 AFL New Zealand Premiership.
The defending Premiers retained Morgan-Ranui through Category 4 of the Retained Players List (RPL): Regionally based New Zealand Representative (Christchurch/ Dunedin/ Wellington).
Josh Morgan-Ranui

The 18 year old from Wellington became involved with the sport through the AFL Cup Secondary School competition in 2015 where he represented Wellington College. Since then, he has been making waves with his hard nosed attitude and desire to become the best AFL player in the country.
At 187cm tall and 97 kilos, Josh is a strong footballer who uses his size to his advantage when he lines up for his local Wellington Club side the North City Demons. Josh was selected for the New Zealand Under 18 tour to Melbourne and was named best on ground against a representative club side in the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League.
