Saints steamroll the Crows to make it 4 in a row

The Southern Saints have made it 4 wins from 4 games as they brushed past the Western Crows in Round 4 of the AFL New Zealand Premiership.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Saints as the Crows got off to a hot start kicking the first three goals of the game. The Saints kept their focus as Harley Jenkins kicked 2 of his 5 goals in reponse.

The damage was done in the second term as the Saints pushed on and kicked 7 goals to 0 as they held a 40 point lead at the half time break. Harley Jenkins was kicking goals in the forward line while Andrew Bisset and James Kusel were holding down the fort in the backline.

The Crows came out after halftime and played some terrific footy to kick 5 goals and reduce the margin to 20 points. Taylor Potter and Brendan Clark were great additions to the midfield while Jay Green was pushed into the forward line.

Kicking with a strong wind in final term, the Saints flew home kicking another 6 goals for the quarter to win by 48 points and remain unbeaten.

The Saints take on the inconsistent Giants in round 5 and this will be a game where anything could happen so make sure to get down to North Harbour Stadium at 3.40pm this Sunday, March 8.
