Wayne Sullivan

Central Giants Number 1 draft pick Wayne Sullivan will once again don the orange and grey in 2019.

The Canterbury based midfielder was ruled out for the 2017 season after a knee injury disrupted his debut season before returning back to the field in 2018.

Relocating from Australia to Christchurch in 2011, Sullivan made an immediate impact on the local scene taking out the CAFL Best and Fairest along with local club Christchurch Bulldogs Best and Fairest.

Wayne was a member of the Canterbury Cobras National Provincial Championship winning teams in 2011 & 2012, last playing for the Canterbury Cobras in 2013.

Nick Rhodes

2018 Central Giants Best and Fairest Nick Rhodes has been retained by the reigning premiers for 2019.

It was a breakout season for the key defender who played an instrumental role in the backline for the Giants where his side conceded an average of 37 points per game throughout the entire season.

The 2017 Canterbury AFL Rookie of the Year, Rhodes is a strong marking defender with good athletic ability who is now among the best in the country in his position.
