The Afl South East U16 Oceania Cup to return in 2023

AFL New Zealand is thrilled to announce that AFL South Pacific U16 Oceania Cup, scheduled to return in Suva, Fiji, from December 4th to 9th 2023

This marks a momentous occasion as it will be the first AFL Oceania Cup tournament since 2019 and the inaugural edition to feature a female division, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to gender inclusivity and fostering young talent in the region. The AFL Oceania Cup Tournament is specially curated for young players aged 16 and under, born in the years 2007 and 2008. The tournament format is as follows;

  1. Boys’ games will feature 16 players aside, with 5 reserves (squad of 21) and 3 officials per team.
  2. Girls’ games will be contested with 12 players aside, accompanied by 5 reserves (squad of 17) and 3 officials per team.

The AFL, AFL New Zealand and AFL Fiji are committed to providing an unforgettable experience.
