Tickets available for AFLNZ High Performance Awards

Tickets are available for those who wish to attend the AFL New Zealand High Performance Awards.

The Spencer on Byron on Auckland’s North Shore will host the High Performance Awards, on the 23rd of April. Awards will be given to those who have performed exceptionally well for New Zealand during the previous 12 months.

AFL South East and the Peninsula Saints will also be in attendance following on from the initial contests against New Zealand youth teams, with match awards presented on the night.

Doors will open at 5.30pm with the event to commence at 6.00pm

Awards will include the following categories:

  • Under 16 Player of the Year
  • Under 18 Player of the Year
  • Senior Player of the Year
  • Female Player of the Year
  • Coach of the Year

A major feature will be the announcement of the 2016 New Zealand Heritage team. This team is made up of players who currently excel at AFL at the highest level, who under regular eligibility rules would be able to represent New Zealand.

A guernsey presentation ceremony will also take place for the New Zealand Hawks who will play the AFL Academy the following day at QBE Stadium.

Tickets for attendance and dinner will be $65. If you do not require a meal, attendance is $10.

The playing group and coaching staff of the New Zealand Hawks, New Zealand Kahus and AFL South East teams will not be required to purchase tickets.

Tickets will be limited to 350 people so please book ASAP.

The AFL New Zealand High Performance Awards will be held in conjunction with a number of special events over ANZAC Week, which will bring AFL players and supporters from all over the country to Auckland.

The major event will be a match between the New Zealand Hawks and the Australian AFL Academy, which will be held at QBE Stadium, Albany on the 24th of April at 1.00pm

Other matches over the weekend will take place on Friday 22nd of April and also on the 24th of April at the same venue at QBE Stadium.

 

New South Wales Independent Schools will play a two match series against the AFL New Zealand Level 1 Academy team, whilst AFL South East will also compete in a two match series against the AFL New Zealand Level 2 Academy team and the New Zealand Kahu U18 Girls.
