The Under 18 New Zealand National wider squad has been announced and will tour to Melbourne, Australia in April 2020.
Included in the squad is a number of players who travelled to Melbourne earlier in the year along with additional players from the AFL New Zealand Youth Competition.
The final squad of 24 players will be finalised and announced mid April 2020.
Additions can and will be made to the wider squad to replace players that are not meeting the obligations required for national representation.
Further additions to the squad will be considered following assessment of;
- Performances of the Level 2 Academy team (born 2003) after competing against Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League on April 4th and 6th 2020.
- Performances of AFL New Zealand Premiership Development Players during the remainder of the AFLNZ Premiership season.
- Training standards and attendance at AFLNZ Academy and AFLNZ Premiership training sessions.
Congratulations to all involved.
