Upsets on the horizon in AFLW Semi Finals

The AFLW have reached the Semi Finals, and the stage has been set for a potential upset, with the two favorites heading into finals now facing the chopping block.

Adelaide Crows vs Sydney Swans – Saturday November 18th

After a tight 2 point loss to the Brisbane Lions, the Minor Premier Adelaide Crows now face the chopping block against a high flying Sydney Swans side. The two teams did not meet in the 10 round home and away season, but with nothing to lose, the Swans are on the verge of causing a major upset and sending the Crows packing early. On the flip side, the Adelaide Crows have won 3 Premierships and always bounce back from a loss in a big way.

Melbourne vs Geelong – Sunday November 19th

Melbourne, the reigning Premiers are also on the chopping block this week. The side was limited by a strong defensive North Melbourne performance, and was dealt their biggest loss of the season in the opening round of Finals. They play a strong Geelong side who have continued to build upon their from form season 7. Melbourne comfortably came out on top when these played each other earlier in the season, but Melbourne are now coming off the back of 2 big losses, and it looks as if a template has been set on how to combat the sides strong attacking ability.
