Western Ravens announce new coaching staff

North Shore Tigers Women’s Coach and former premiership player Keegan McCauley will take over as Head Coach of the Western Ravens in the 2024 AFL New Zealand Women’s Premiership. He will be assisted by New Zealand Falcons veteran, Andriu Sucu.

McCauley has played a massive role in the North Shore Tigers Women’s side winning their first Minor Premiership in the Auckland AFLW season. His passion for the club’s growth and development in the Women’s space has helped drive the teams success.

Away from football McCauley works for sporting event coordinator, The Ironman Group following on from his previous role of Competitions Manager with New Zealand Football.

Andriu Sucu has been apart of the AFL New Zealand systems since 2005 and has achieved a lot in his time with the sport. The 2017 AFL New Zealand Premiership Player of the Year has represented New Zealand since 2008 and has won multiple Premierships at local and national level.

The current Auckland AFL President now has three young daughters, and has a strong interest in developing the Women’s game, ensuring that they will have the opportunities in AFL in years to come.
