Women’s Premiership set to go

The 2020 AFL New Zealand Women’s Premiership will conclude its season this Sunday, November 29th at North Harbour Stadium in Albany, Auckland.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the final game was due to take place in April but was postponed. With restrictions now lifted, the decision has been made to play the final game in late November.

The three match series is level at one win a piece between the Magpies and the Bulldogs and with leagues now up and running in Auckland and Wellington, both sides will be match ready when they walk out on to North Harbour Stadium.

Bulldogs Head Coach Mick Coultard was happy for both sides that the game could go ahead.

“It’s fantastic that AFL New Zealand was able to pull everyone together and finish off the season in 2020. The Women’s game continues to build momentum and am looking forward to an even stronger competition in 2021.”
