2023 AFLW Finals series locked in

The final round started with 4 teams guaranteed a spot in the finals and another 8 teams fighting for a spot in the top 8. A huge final round saw 2 scrape through to the Finals by less than 5% and has set the stage for what is to be an exciting Finals series. 8 Kiwis feature in 6 of the 8 teams playing Finals and Week 1 of finals holds a huge clash between some of the New Zealand Talent.

Adelaide Crows vs Brisbane Lions – Saturday 11th November

Two of the best teams in the AFLW since the inaugural season, these two powerhouse teams face off again in the first qualifying final for the round. Last time these two sides met, the Lions came away with a narrow 3 point win, the only loss the Crows have had this season.

Gold Coast Suns vs Sydney Swans – Saturday 11th November

After just missing out on Finals last year, the Gold Coast Suns have had a stellar season and set to have a strong finals campaign. The Sydney Swans have had a huge turn around, going from last place in Season 7 to making the Finals in season 8. With both teams thoroughly deserving of a spot in the finals, this elimination final will be a great game to watch

Geelong Cats vs Essendon Bombers – Sunday 12th November

The Geelong Cats have had another good season and have stayed consistent throughout the competition. The Essendon bombers are a team to watch, in just their second season in the league, they have already proved they are not side to take lightly, beating Geelong by 10 when they met in round 6.

Melbourne vs North Melbourne – Sunday 12th November

A clash of titans is set to ensue between two of the leagues heavy hitters. Both sides are capable of exploiting lapses on the defensive end and putting up big number on the scoreboard. When they met in Round 8 Melbourne were came out on top with a 23 point win. This game is not one to miss.
